Memorial Day Ceremonies
Please Join us at Riverside Cemetery this Memorial Day to celebrate the lives and legacies of departed loved ones.
When: May 29th, 2017 at 10:30 am
What: Our Annual Memorial Day Legacy Celebration.
At 10:45 the procession will move from the front gate to the Grand Army of the Republic Area where a service by Chaplin Sharon Kaseman, VFW Post 762 Fargo and Welcoming remarks by Master of Ceremonies, Wayne Krueger, Commander AMVETS Post 7 Fargo.
Followed by the introduction and greeting by Fargo Mayor Tim Mahoney and guest speaker North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum.
Then the introduction of the main speaker, Commander Dave Rice, VFM Post 762 Fargo and Past Department Commander American Legion of ND.
Musical selections by the Red River Valley Veterans Concert Band, The Wreath Laying Ceremony conducted by representatives from the United States Army, Navy, Marine Corp and Air Force. Flower presentation by Auxiliaries of the United Patriotic Bodies.
Ceremonial Firing Squad, Fargo Veterans of Foreign Wars, Roy Chandler Post 762.
Taps performed by the Red River Valley Veterans Concert Band.
Benediction by Chaplin Sharon Kaseman, VFW Post 762 Fargo.
Closing Remarks with a Thank You to the cemetery, speakers and the crowd with a ceremonial Flyover by Toby McPherson in a P51.
We will be serving fresh cookies, coffee, water, soda, and juice. All are welcome to join us in celebrating the lives of loved ones.

Transportation and Parking: We ask that you do not park in the cemetery while attending the parade/ceremony. We have rides available at the front gate for anybody who needs them.
